1. You are prolific and do a lot for the photographic community in the UK. Could you tell us all the things you are involved in?
I don’t really think I’m very prolific. I’m a jobbing professional photographer with a pretty solid base of clients. And then outside of that I concentrate on personal projects and they are what mean the most to me.
Last year I published my first book ‘United Kingdom’ a visual study of traditional annual customs in the UK.
This year I started a Welsh photography collective called A Fine Beginning.
2. What is life like for the working professional photographer now?
It’s pretty tough. But I think it always has been. Moaning won’t help. Perseverance is the key, and there’s so much collaboration and photographers supporting each other with initiatives that there is lots to be positive about right now.
3. What excites you more about Start Up event, is it the talks, the opportunity to connect with others or the food?
Again, I’m excited to see people getting together to exchange tales, especially over food and booze.
4. We are having a tapas diner with over 11 dishes, which dish is number one on your list?
Meatballs, always meatballs.
